How to Make a Chicken Puff Recipe


Chicken puff is a tasty snack or appetizer that is perfect for parties. They are made of cooked shredded chicken encased in a puff pastry that is baked until golden brown. This savory snack is often served in bakery and tea-stalls. It is also popular in Southeast Asia as well as India.

This chicken puff recipe is easy to follow and can be adapted to your own tastes. You can add in extra vegetables (such as corn, mushrooms or peas), chaat masala or spices (like paprika or red pepper) to make it more flavorful. You can even omit the chicken and replace it with the same amount of veggies for a vegetarian version of this dish.

Start by preparing the chicken filling. Cook the minced chicken in a skillet along with the onions on low heat until translucent. Once the chicken is cooked, add the herbed cheese and mix until it’s combined. Let the mixture cool before you work on the puff pastry.

Take the puff pastry sheet and cut it into equal rectangles. You will get about 12 pieces but this depends on how large you want your puffs to be. Take one of the rectangles and place about a tablespoon of the chicken mixture in it. Seal the edges and repeat with the rest of the dough.
