League of Legends is the most popular video game since 2012 with over 100 million monthly active players and the biggest eSports scene across the globe with over 100 million viewers. However, the game’s complexity makes it one of the hardest games to learn and master. This course will help you level up your gameplay from a new player to a competitive eSports player!
Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill and team leader Brandon Beck had a pretty clear idea of what they wanted to do with their game in the first year it existed. They were seeking funds and developing what they called Onslaught, which ultimately became League of Legends, but even in the months leading up to its official release that October of 2009, there was “a lot of terror and wild leaps of faith” involved.
In the weeks before League of Legends’ official release, they invited players to play with the team and see what the game was all about. They also wanted to give fans a glimpse at what the thousands of employees at Riot Games were working on every day. They decided to unveil a series of games that gave players a peek at the game from three distinct phases of a match. Each champion in League of Legends is designed to be good during a certain period of the game, known as their power curve. Some champions are designed to be strong early, then slowly fall off the longer the game goes on, while others are designed to start weak but become continuously stronger as they purchase items. 롤대리
